Welcome to the home page of the Meteorology and Air Quality department at Wageningen University. We are studying the atmosphere in all its beauty and variety of phenomena and its relevance for weather, climate and air quality. In particular we deal with the atmosphere above land and how it relates to life and the environment.

The department also maintains a Weather Station in Wageningen displaying real time weather observations online. Also weather forecasts for North-West Europe and the Netherlands are
made on a routine basis using the Weather Research and Forecast model (WRF).
